Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Bible Verse Alarm (“the app”) is built to respect your privacy completely. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers, and no third-party tracking.
What data the app stores
Everything the app remembers is stored only on your device:
- Your alarms, wake times, and mission settings
- Your chosen Bible translation, topics, and favorites
- Your memorized-verse progress and streaks
This information lives in your device’s local storage (Apple’s on-device UserDefaults and app database). It never leaves your iPhone, and we never see it. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
Device permissions
The app asks for certain permissions only to run wake-up missions, and only uses them on your device in the moment:
- Camera — to scan the reference on your open physical Bible (the “Bible Hunt” mission). Images are processed live on-device and are never saved or transmitted.
- Microphone & Speech Recognition — to check the verse you read aloud (the “Speak” mission). Audio is recognized on-device and never recorded or sent anywhere.
- Motion & Fitness — to count steps or detect shake/squat for physical wake-up missions.
- Notifications / Alarms — to ring your scheduled alarm.
All of these are optional. You can use the app’s core alarm and puzzle features without granting any of them.
No tracking, no third parties
The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and makes no network requests. Because nothing is collected, there is no data to request, correct, or delete beyond simply deleting the app.
Children’s privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
